Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity is a not-for-profit Christian ministry, dedicated to helping lower income families become home owners. We are not a government agency or a typical charity.

Rather, it is a PARTNERSHIP between families who need houses and volunteers and donors who believe every family deserves a decent place to live. Families may be of any race or religion. They must be willing to work “sweat equity” hours as part of their down payment. The advantage to the family is that Habitat builds affordable homes with long-term no-interest loans. Mortgages collected are used to build additional homes in Jefferson County.

Achieving our goals is made possible only because of generous gifts of labor, money and materials from individuals, churches, businesses and foundations. We are an affiliate of Habitat International, which is working to end substandard housing in over 100 countries around the world.

Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity relies on financial and in-kind support to make decent affordable housing possible for lower-income families. By making a gift to JCHFH, you are not only helping to build a home, but you are helping to build a community, a family and hope!

Our friends at Hardees in Dandridge (I-40 Exit 417) will be donating 20% of all purchases made between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm on Wednesday, Aug. 20, to Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity!! (no coupon necessary)

A huge THANK YOU to our friends, Larry Lindy, Dave Seratt, Heart to Heart, and Teresa, Tammy & Carol (Safe Thus Far), for their wonderful performances Saturday at our "Afternoon of Gospel and Bluegrass" concert. The singers all graciously donated their time and talents for the free concert to bring awareness to the mission of Habitat for Humanity in Jefferson County. The music was awesome, and a fabulous time was had by all who were there!
